Mango Farm,
Antipolo

Initially, the wedding ceremony was to take place outdoors in the Farm. Everything was beautifully arranged and after the ceremony, all of the guests were supposed to assemble at the garden for a grand pictorial before proceeding to the pavilion, where the reception would be held.

But God had other plans.

As guests started trickling in, droplets of rain did, too. Despite this, it was decided that the ceremony would continue since it stopped drizzling after a while.

So the entourage marched and Pastor Robbie began the rites. As Marco started his speech honoring his parents, it started to rain really hard. We had no choice but to stop the ceremony, gather as many umbrellas as possible, and usher all the guests into the pavilion. Yet after setting up the lights, sounds, projectors and arranging the seats for the entourage, the ceremony continued as if nothing had happened and things miraculously fell into place.

I guess this was the kind of wedding that God wanted for Marco and Nicole.

It was my (together with Tine, the overall coordinator, and Anna and Nikki) first time to coordinate a wedding and it was a different kind of stress -- one born out of the desire to make things work because the celebrants were your friends. More, it was awesome to see how their other friends rallied behind them -- from the entourage, to the band, to the performers, to the photographers. The Lord did allow everything to come together for His glory.

To the radiant couple, thank you for allowing all of us to be a part of this beautiful event. May this next chapter of your lives bear much fruit and glorify His name.
